Anne Welsbacher’s plays include Shellshock, Last Chance Liquor, Radiating Like a Stone (Best Citywide Ensemble), Pardon My Dust (Best Citywide Comedy nomination), Road to Rouen, The Miracle of Father Kapaun, Two Bites: Mark Twain’s Diaries of Adam and Eve, and 10-minute plays Terminal, Skates, Pillow, and Quorum, among others. She has written commissioned scripts for Watermark Press, the Vagabond Theatre, the Minnesota History Center, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Wichita Symphony. Her plays have been produced and had staged readings in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Denver, Kansas City, and Wichita, Kansas.

Anne publishes Well Worded, a bi-weekly newsletter offering advice for the writing we do in our everyday life, plus a little more.

Anne’s creative nonfiction has been published most recently in Spellbinder magazine and 105 Meadowlark. She also has published fiction and nonfiction.

Anne received her MFA from Lesley University (Writing for State and Screen) and was a Core Apprentice finalist at the Playwrights’ Center (Minneapolis). She has won awards for authoring and editing magazines and children’s books.
